Application Form for Registration to Common Proficiency Test Course

To appear in the CPT June 2017 examination, candidate must have registered on or before 01 April 2017 and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.To appear in the CPT Dec 2017 examination, candidate must have registered on or before 01 Oct 2017 and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions. Eligibility for CA CPT Registration

A student who has passed the 10th standard examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto may register for Common Proficiency Course (CPC).Cut-off date for registration to Common Proficiency Course (CPC) to become eligible for appearing in Common Proficiency Test (CPT) to be held in Dec/ December every year.

CA CPT Exemption for CMA Foundation & CS Foundation Students

All earlier respective students of Entrance/ Foundation/ Professional Education (Course-I) who have not passed respective examinations are required to register afresh for Common Proficiency Course (CPC) by paying full registration fees for CPC, i.e., Rs.6,000/- as applicable at present to continue their studies in CA Course.

  • Go to https://www.icai.org/cptform.html.
  • Enter the following details.
    • Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Parents’ Names
    • Address for communication
    • Category
    • Nationality
    • Medium of Study
    • Details of Educational Qualifications
    • Annual income of parents
    • If already student of Professional Education, provide unique registration code.
  • Make payment via credit / debit card.
  • Submit the form.

 CA CPT Registration Fees (As per last year)

The fees for new registrants for the Chartered Accountancy course is as follows.

India National residing in India Rs. 6100/-
Indian National residing in SAARC Countries Rs. 6100/-
Indian National residing in a place other than (a) & (b) US$ 590 (US$580 + US$10)
Foreign National belonging to SAARC Countries Rs. 6100/-
For other than stated in (d) above US$ 590 (US$ 580 + US$10)

CA CPT Fee Details for new registrants (As per last year)

Registration Fee for CPT Rs. 6000/- for students stated in (a),(b) & (d); and US$ 580 for students stated in (c) & (e)
Cost of CPT Prospectus Rs. 100 for India/SAARC Students and for others US$ 10
Subscription for Student’s Journal Rs. 200/- (for India/ SAARC Students) and for others US$ 20 (for one year)(Optional but strongly recommended)
Subscription for Member’s Journal Rs. 400/- (for India/ SAARC Students) and for others US$ 40 (for one year)(Optional)

Students can pursue chartered accountancy course either through Common Proficiency Test (CPT) route or through Direct Entry Scheme.

Note : CA CPT Registration Process is different and CA CPT Exam Application process is different. CA CPT Registration is one time process. You don’t need to register again for 2nd time attempt.With one time CA CPT Registration, you can give 6 continuous attempts for CA CPT Exam. But Every attempt (either June attempt or December attempt) you should apply & fill CPT Application form and pay Rs/- 500 for CA CPT Exam Application.

  • Rs. 500/- (for opting a Centre in India)
  • INR 850/- (for opting Kathmandu Centre)
  • US$ 150/- (for opting Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai or Muscat Centres)

Who can submit online application form through CA CPT Registration?

  • Candidates must enrol with the Institute for Common Proficiency Course (CPC) after passing class 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto.
  • Candidates who have appeared and passed in the class 12th or equivalent exam can then apply for the CA CPT exam.

How to pay CA CPT Registration Fee

CPC registration fee is to be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at concerned Regional Office i.e. Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kanpur or New Delhi”. If Registration Form is downloaded from the Institute’s website, add Rs. 100/- or US $10 along with Common Proficiency Course (CPC) Registration fee for supply of a copy of the Prospectus along with the study package.

Required Documents for CA CPT Registration

The following documents to be enclosed along with the CPC Registration form:

  • Demand Draft towards registration and other fees.
  • Attested copy of Date of Birth and 10th pass Marks Statement.
  • Attested copy of proof of Nationality, if student is foreigner.
  • Attested copy of proof of special category certificate i.e. SC/ST, OBC and Differently abled. CPC Registration form to be submitted to the Regional Office in consonance with the address of the student.
