CA Final Course Details
After passing Intermediate/Professional Education (Examination-II)/Professional Competence Examination/Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination, a student should register with the Board of Studies in the prescribed form and collect study material of the Final course, and prepare for the final examination. He has to undergo General Management and Communication Skills Course and Advance course on ITT before applying for membership of Institute.
CA Final Registration
The CA Final Registration is not automatic and every student who is interested in undergoing this level has to enroll himself for the same. Registration can be applied for by submitting the CA Final Registration Form along with the prescribed fee and the supporting documents.

A Registration Fees of Rs. 10,000 is to be paid along with the Registration Form. However, if the student has not paid the Registration Fees for Articleship, he also has to pay a one-time Articleship Registration Fees of Rs. 2,000 along with the Registration Form.The Fee shall be payable by pay of a Demand Draft/Pay Order made in favour of “The Secretary, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” payable at New Delhi/Mumbai/Chennai/Kolkatta/Kanpur in accordance with the registered address of the Student.The Student shall also submit the following documents at the time of submission of the Registration Form:-
- Copy of IPCC Marksheet attested by a Chartered Accountant
- Demand Draft/Pay Order towards CA Final Registration Fees
Validity of Final Course Registration
Registration for Final Course shall be valid for 5 years and thereafter revalidation shall be made for every 5 years with a renewal fee of 500/- or as decided by the Council from time to time. Students should have valid registration before applying for the relevant examination.
Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in the Final Examination
Detailed eligibility criteria for different streams to appear in Final examination are as follows :(i) The candidate should have passed the Intermediate Examination or Professional Education Examination – II./PCC/IPCC(ii) The candidate should have obtained Final Registration number from Board of studies of the concerned Regional office of the Institute( iii) As decided by the Council, the Registration to the Final Course is valid for a period of five years and the student is required to revalidate the same from the concerned Regional Office on expiry of the said period. Further in order to be eligible for the Examinations, the student must be having a valid Registration number on the date of application to the Examination.Accordingly, please ensure that your registration to Final Course is valid as on date of filling Examination application form. The candidate must have completed prescribed period of 3 years or 3½ years, as the case may be, of article training as on the date of filling the form;or(iv) The candidate must be due to complete the prescribed period of 3 years or 3½ years, as the case may be, of article training including excess leave, if any, on or before exam.

Passing Criteria for CA Final
- If Student appears for Both Groups simultaneously: A student will be declared to have passed if he secures in one sitting Minimum 40% marks in each paper of Both Groups AND Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers of both Groups taken together.
- If Student appears for only one Group: A student will be declared to have passed if he secures in one sitting Minimum 40% marks in each paper of the Group AND Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers of that Group.
- Exemption: If student fails in Group but gets 60 or more marks in any of the subject, he will be declared as passed in that subject
